Basketball memorial tournament of Helge Sturz

Today's basketball tournament which once again takes place in Vision for Africa revives the dream that Helge Sturz had once, to establish a basketball team and tournament for the glory of Jesus Christ. Helge was the son of a faithful staff couple here in Vision for Africa and a former volunteer whose young life ended on 30th of May 2012 abruptly due to a severe sickness.

The memorial basketball tournament brings great joy to many enthusiastic and talented young basketball players in Uganda. At this big event many different basketball teams of Uganda gather in our 'Land of Hope' to fight until the best team is announced the winner. Because of many strong teams it is always exciting who will win this time! Also the audience is not missing: many enthusiastic 'fans', young and old, come together and cheer for their teams.
